Kahana Reef

The Kahana Reef in Kaanapali, Maui is situated on two beachfront acres, 10 minutes from shops and restaurants.

To relax, guests can wander into the garden with its freshwater pool, two barbecues, and picnic area, all on the edge of the lapping waves of Kahana Reef.

The hotel's grassy lawn overlooking the ocean is pleasant for sunbathing. From there, guests may make use of a small strip of sandy beach, but most of the small area between the grass and the ocean is rocky. In fall and winter, migrating humpback whales can be spotted from lanais.

This two-acre condo resort consists of three four-story buildings. The Kahana Reef has 88 units decorated in island style, all of which include kitchens with refrigerators, four-burner stoves, dishwashers, and microwaves. Units measure 710 square feet and have large, furnished lanais with unobstructed ocean views. They feature one bedroom with floor-to-ceiling mirrors, a sofa bed in the living room, and individually designed bathrooms. A bar-style counter separates the kitchen from the living area. Two ceiling fans substitute for air conditioning. All rooms are non-smoking. Maid service is available for an additional fee.
